Berlin's Hackensche Hof is located in Berlin's Scheunenviertel Quarter. It is quite close to the popular Alexanderplatz and is one of Berlin's top entertainment districts as well as a magnet for visitors and local party goers since the 90s. The hub consists of shops, apartments, offices, bars, clubs, restaurants and much much more. The Hackesche Hofe complex is one of the finest examples of industrial Jegendstil architecture in Germany with its Moorish mosaic designs and white glazed tiles. The courtyard was once the site of a Jewish girls club and a poet's society but later converted in to the one of the capital's most popular meeting places. This reconstruction is responsible for making the district the bustling, lively place it is today. The area also boasts the extremely popular Chameleon Theatre where you will find everything from trapeze artists to erotic dancers! If you love to go out, socialize and meet new people then Hackensche Hofe is the place to be. The district's nightlife is almost unrivalled by any other district in Berlin. It is usually in full throttle by 9 or 10pm and does not stop until the wee hours of the morning. It is also a great area for a cup of coffee and a stroll, you can browse all the little boutiques, vintage clothing stores and artistry shops or maybe pay a visit to one of the many galleries the area has to offer. The district is set in an ideal location, just minutes' walk from attractions such as Museum Island, Unter den Linden and Berlin Cathedral.
