Welcome to one of the most famous avenues in Berlin. This broad boulevard takes its name from the prince electors of Brandenburg and is full with the best shops, hotels and restaurants in Berlin. There are also many car show rooms with new and vintage cars from different decades. The bustling avenue runs through the Charlottenburg district so attractions like Berlin Zoo and Charlottenburg Castle are close by. After the reunification of Germany Kurfurstendamm had to compete with other extremely popular districts such as Potsdamer Platz and Alexanderplatz which led to a lot of restaurants, shops and cinemas being closed down. Kufurstendamm is the place to go particularly if you are the artistic type. It is a great place to be spotted as many of Berlins most prestigious citizens, politicians and businessmen hang out here.

In the district's heyday there were many beautiful, unique designed buildings some boasted ornate facades that showcased the wealth of those who lived there. There were many columns, gables, towers and other ornamentation that sadly a lot of these were destroyed during World War II. If you want to experience boulevards original architecture, don't miss out on the structure of Iduna Haus which was built in the 1900s. The quality of food and Shopping around this area is exquisite with great little boutiques to browse around and shopping centers such as the Europa center. There are also many street performers, bands and stalls to be found around the area so you will never run out of things to see and do.
